CICRCA 1880'S DOCTOR BAG
An extremely large example in immaculate condition. What makes this piece unique is the fact that it bears the imprinted cartouche of J.S. Collins & Co., in the leather tab which is part of the bag you grab to open. While very faint it is identical to those found on some of Collins holsters of the same period. Collins was a very well known leather goods dealer as well as a frontier guide, hunter & friend to many of the governments highest officials including presidents Hayes & Roosevelt. Other than belts and holsters this is only other piece of leather goods I have encountered so marked. Who knows were it was carried or by whom.

ORIGINAL WANTED POSTER
I have only seen one other of these offerred for sale and that was in a 1999 catalog described as follows. "Exceptional rarity, 12 x 18 broadside from West Plains, Missouri. Alvin Karpis & Fred Barker wanted for killing the sheriff in Howell county in 1931. Barker was to die with his mother in the famous 1935 gunfight with the FBI and Karpis received a life sentence for his activities as one of the most infamous gangsters of the 30's." This describes our poster perfectly. It is in exceptional condition while the one advertised had a couple of tiny flaws. It sold for $1200.00 and we will include our original copy of the above referenced catalog with the sale of this item.

"JOSIE EARP"
Whether or not this was really the wife of Wyatt Earp will probably never be known for certain. She was a beautiful women as was the lady in this photo which was produced and marketed by a Novelty Co. in the early teens. The name under the image is "Kaloma". This and the Novelty Co. name and date are faded but the silver emulsion on the photo is excellent and this example has been rated as one of the best known by an expert and well known collector in the field of images. Slight waterstain on bottom left of background. Very scarce in any condition. See the cover of book "I married Wyatt Earp" by "Glen Boyer" who was primarily responsable for the publicity this image has received in the past few years.

CIRCA 1880's Prison Made Woven
HORSEHAIR BRIDLE Complete with
Original ROMEL
This beautiful example has black orange and white dyed horsehair and incorporates 20 Tassles in it's design. Few of these have survived and even fewer with this many tassles and intricate design. This is tastefully done and does affect the value so we have priced this item very reasoneably.

REAL WORKING COWBOY
Circa 1890's Original photo of a working Cowboy in what appears to be a desert area. The photo is mounted on a heavy grey cardboard backing & has a tack hole at the top centre. It probably hung in a bunk house. The photo is in excellent condition for framing and is slightly discolored from aging. This fellow is wearing his hat, scarf, carrying a water bottle and has a large frame revolver in its holster mounted in the usual manner. He is holding a winchester rifle. It is difficult to find these original old photo's that are not posed in a studio.

WELLS FARGO & CO. STATIONARY CABINET
Complete and original except for the lock which has been removed long ago, this solid oak cabinet makes a great decorator and can also be used for storage of papers etc. It has seen service in "Shreveport, La" which was marked on the back in heavy ink a long time ago. "PATCHES" POSTER
There are at least six different variations of this wonderful poster and this is referred to as No. 6 in Vol. 1 of "American Poster Advertising" by "Bob & Beverly Strauss". Their suggested value in 1990 was $600 for a grade 3 which could have large tears, trimming etc. While this example has been trimmed, the color is excellent with only minor chipping on the edges and one small tear. It also comes with an original letter signed by the artist and addressed to Colt. The letter is very legible however has been poorly stored with a large tear but all intact. It also may have been trimmed but with no loss of content. This print should be archival framed along with the letter and is priced reasonably.
