THE KARL F. MOLDENHAUER COLLECTION

This is actually an original hardbound copy of the Richard A. Bourne Co. Inc. auction of the Karl Moldenhauer Remington Arms collection which took place Oct. 1980 along with a list of prices realized. The cover is gold embossed on a simulated leather covering of the book which comes with a heavy slipcase for protection. The collection consisted of one or more of each model known at the time and was the result of a lifetime of collecting. Each item is thoroughly described along with an excellent photo & some of the observations of Mr. Moldenhauer are also recorded making this one of the best sources for information on Remingtons available still to-day. THE HERMANN H. HEISER MFG. & SELLING CO. CATALOGS

This company is wrongly thought to have been one of the latest of the more popular saddlery's however they were established in 1856 and incorporated in 1906. They continued until 1945 when they were sold to the Denver Dry Goods Co. H.H. Heiser the founder died in Germany in 1904.
1. This is Catalog No. 20 and has a price list attached to the inside dated 1928. It is complete and in excellent condition with only some minor watermarks to the cover. It contains pictures of all of their line of holsters including shoulder style as well as gun carrying cases, knife sheaths, cuffs, cartridge money and regular belts and chaps as well as some various other leather goods.It contains 64 pages plus cover with a company history on the inside back cover. Great reference item.
2. Catalog No. 30 showing the name change to Saddlery Company contains 48 pages plus cover with only saddle being on the inside back cover.Again this contains various holsters including pocket, shoulder and regular style as well as single and double buscadero examples. There is a large variety of belts and numerous other leather products. There is a comment that no man lived long enough to wear out one of their holsters. Excellent complete condition.
3. Catalog No. 32 is also 48 pages and while similar in content to No. 30 it has some bridles and on the back cover an advertisement for Navajo Rugs they are carrying in a quantity of styles and colors. This one is as new.
All of these are very scarce. Would take 10% off for the 3 as a group.

Written by Major W.E. Fairbairn, we have two copies of this rare and sought after book. One has the original dust cover which most collectors don't know existed. Fairbairn was responsible for the design of the fighting knife bearing his name and was an instructor for the British commando units in hand to hand fighting.
